Actually a pantheist is a god with amnesia. He needs to recover his godhead, and if he could just remember that he is god, he’ll be okay. His salvation comes from realizing his own divinity, sometimes called self-realization or Christ-consciousness. Buddhism and New Ageism are pantheistic, as is Hinduism and its sects, such as Hare Krishnas, even though they embrace polytheism as well. They consider all of underlying reality to be divine, with particular divine manifestations as gods and goddesses.
